Orientation & Onboarding

Smooth Transition:

CTE&E offers an orientation and onboarding program to support a smooth transition for new faculty. The program is designed to help new faculty members acclimate to our CTE Division’s culture, policies, procedures, and resources. It includes introductions to key staff and an overview of the faculty handbook, forms, and resources available.

Professional Development

Faculty Training

CTE&E provides a diverse range of professional development opportunities, including workshops, seminars, and webinars that focus on innovative teaching methods, effective assessment techniques, and strategies for promoting equity in the classroom.

Collaborative Learning Communities

CTE&E fosters the formation of learning communities where educators can share best practices, collaborate on projects, and engage in meaningful discussions about teaching, learning, and equity.

Mentoring & Collaborative Communities

Resource Hub

The center maintains a resource hub that includes access to teaching materials, and professional development tools, all curated with an eye towards promoting equity.

Peer Mentoring

CTE&E’s mentoring program pairs less experienced faculty with seasoned educators to provide ongoing support, encouragement, and professional guidance, with a particular focus on equitable teaching practices.

Feedback and Reflection

Faculty members are encouraged to engage in reflective practices and peer reviews to continuously improve their teaching effectiveness and student outcomes, with a specific focus on equitable practices.
