What is Honda PACT program?
Honda PACT is a partnership between American Honda, local dealerships and colleges like Rio Hondo College to provide hands-on education with latest state-of-the-art technology.
The Automotive Technology Honda Professional Career Training Program Specialization (PACT) is a two-year program designed to prepare graduates to work as an Automotive Technician, with expertise in working with Honda/Acura vehicles. Rio Hondo College starts a new training program at the start of each summer semester.

Careers Within Honda or Acura
American Honda is dedicated to developing world-class technicians who can provide the professional customer service necessary to retain loyal Honda customers. PACT graduates will be prepared to work as an entry-level automotive technician within a Honda or Acura dealership after completing the two-year program or all certificates. PACT graduates upon graduation typically earn more per hour than non PACT graduates and are highly sought after candidates for other careers opportunity advancements within the industry. Possible careers include Sales & Service Operations Manager, Fleet Operations Manager, Technical Service Expert and more!
Work While in School
Eligible students have the opportunity to work as paid interns under the guidance of skilled technicians while completing their certificate or degree. Gain real-world experience working with specialized tools earning wages while going to school. Get your Associate of Science Degree while being trained on the latest in automotive technology with the opportunity to gain real-world experience in prestigious Honda/Acura dealerships.
Upon completion of the two-year training program and necessary Honda/Acura training modules, students will receive Honda or Acura Certification in the following areas:
- Express/Accelerated Technician
- General Service Technician
- Basic Electrical Fundamentals
- Basic Fuel and Emission
- Supplemental Restraints - Brakes and Suspension
