When I first began my journey at Rio Hondo College, I thought it was impossible for me to persist in college. Often times, I faced challenges such as family, work, school and language barriers. However, I stepped outside of my comfort zone and became a proactive person. I asked a lot of questions and sought help and support from the faculty members, professors, counselors and the programs I joined here at Rio Hondo College. And now, I will graduate Rio Hondo College and transfer to a four-year university where I will be able to complete the next phase of my educational journey--earning my bachelor's degree! I am very proud of myself and grateful for all the help that I have received from the Rio Hondo College community.
